• 24-Hour Risk-Free Change: Cancel or change your flight for free within 24 hours of booking (if booked at least 1 week before departure).

• No Change Fees: For Economy (except Basic), Premium, and Business tickets on domestic and international flights.

• Basic Economy Tickets: Not eligible for changes unless United has issued a travel waiver.

• Fare Difference Applies: If your new flight is more expensive, you’ll pay the difference.

• No Cancellation Fees for most non-Basic Economy fares.

• Basic Economy Tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable unless canceled within 24 hours of booking.

• You must cancel at least 30 minutes before departure to retain flight credit.

• Refundable Tickets: Eligible for a full refund to the original payment method.

• Non-Refundable Tickets: Receive travel credit valid for future United flights.

• Refunds may also apply in the case of:

  • Flight cancellations by United

  • Schedule changes of 2+ hours

  • Duplicate bookings
